U-Tilley-tarian Developments: A lighter artists' press

Following, and despite such an appalling pun in the title of his flyer, it remains a great pleasure to have met John Tilley, the maker of the press which Rosie and I found in the workshop of Vickie Heany on Scilly last month. After a call and an introduction, John invited us along to see the remaining press that he had from his last batch. It is a light-weigh model converted from a Wringer, which is a clamp-on small version of the traditional mangle. We haven't tried it out yet, but the excitement is so great that we shall be doing so just as soon as we can get into our studio tomorrow. At which point, I shall report further.
