AT THE STRAWBALE GALLERY, DUNS TEW.
As usual, the exhibition consisted of new, framed linocut prints, woodcuts and original pen and ink pictures for sale, and a range of cards and books. In particular, we have just launched a new book series of illustrated stories and poems. Most of the new framed images are the originals used to produce the new books. For example, the pen and ink picture above forms the frontispiece for Rosie's new fairy tale, Mossycoat. We are hand-binding the new books and using dust-covers for the first time. The editions are limited to seventy-five copies. In this series so far, we have:
1. Something in the Woods (£20) - by Rosie with lincut illustrations
2. Sir Gammer Vans (£15) - by Robin with pen and ink illustrations
3. Mossycoat (£20) - by Rosie with pen and ink illustrations.
Do contact us if you would like to purchase any of the cards or books, which were on display at the weekend.
Thanks you to everyone who came along to our winter exhibition on Saturday and Sunday. It was exceedingly cold in the Strawbale Gallery, and by closing time, the candles and tea-lights were barely providing the necessary light. Everyone was greatly sustained by the seemingly endless supply of mulled pear wine and cakes.
