Frame Making at the Wytham Woods Sawmill
While Simon Clements continues to carve his spandrels alongside us, Rosie and I are currently engaged in making the frames for our forthcoming exhibition. Wytham sawmill is not the warmest location for this activity, but it is ideal for using the saws, mitres and other equipment we need to produce the frames from first principles. The frames shown in the images are of English oak, and when finished will frame the small 12" x 12 " linocuts.
