BBC Radio Oxford Interview

Link to BBC Oxford iPlayer
Click the image above to link to the BBC Oxford interview with Wesley Smith on Sunday 8th May. Wesley asked Robin to come into the studio to talk about the Wytham Woods project.  I brought along Nigel Fisher, the Conservator of the Woodlands to represent the might and majesty of Oxford University, and between us we managed to sound only mildly silly.  The chap on before us, and very informative, is Dr. Gabriel Hemery from the OneOak project (www.SYLVA.org.uk) which currently has an exhibition of art work on show in Oxford's botanical garden.
I could have spoken better if I had had more than four hours sleep per night in the past two months, but Nigel was on form and Wesley's show has the oak art, the Wytham porject and some information about bees.  Our own information on the bee-theme is that for Artsweek we are moving our apiary to a safe distance from the Strawbale Gallery.  The oilseed rape has been sending our bees into a stinging angry mood, and under the circumstances all of the hives are undergoing an enforced holiday at a safe distance several miles away on the other side of the Oxford Road.  The BBC iPlayer recording will be available until next Sunday.
I'll try to make available the recording from April when I spoke about printmaking and Artsweek more generally on the BBC Oxford to Jo Thoenes.
