One Oak Exhibition |
For those of you who live in or around Oxford the One Oak Exhibition is now on in the Natural History Museum. Rosie and I have a few woodblock images on display, but there is plenty more to see and a comprehensive description of the project. Everything is on the temporary exhibition gallery, which is the front first floor gallery which overlooks the main room, which is the one filled with dinosaur skeletons. Rosie and I handed over our prints just before we departed on our recent trip to Romania, so until last week neither of us had seen the exhibition. It contains most of the work that we had at the launch party, which was held at the Botanical Gardens in Oxford. There is also furniture and more statues, but none of this is yet on display. Because the project is an ongoing one you can expect a great deal more than is currently on display to appear in the final exhibition which will take place towards the end of next year. Until that time we're all carving away and drawing, painting or furniture making. The scope and breadth of the OneOak project is econsiderable, and includes contributions from scientists and artists from a wide disciplinary range.
