An Illustrated Book for Children
In this (2009) book, Rosie has written a story which draws on folk legends and woodland myths to create a short story for 10-14 year old children, and for adults who enjoy reading aloud to their children (or to themselves). The ten original illustrations, also by Rosie for this volume, are intended to work in parallel with, but also separate to the text: each picture develops and suggests so much more than appears in the writing, so that by reading it together and handing around the book, the story will grow and suggest different things to each reader. The illustrations will be appearing as separate hand-printed images in our forthcoming Exhibition at the Montpellier Gardens Gallery in Cheltenham, where the book will also be on sale. If you can't make it to Cheltenham, the book is also sold at Nature in Art Gallery near Gloucester, or directly from us (email for a copy) at £20.00. Each book is one of a signed limited edition of 50, hand-bound by us, of which a very few still remain.
Forthcoming books in this series will be advertised on this blog in the coming weeks.
